Be My Guest

    A. Bran's exhibition "Be My Guest" invites visitors to explore his home from past, present, and future perspectives. The exhibition will display memories through small objects, created over a year by collecting various items from street trash, household corners, beaches, and personal reflections.
According to the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard's book "The Poetics of Space"The house starts to represent the mind of a person as a location where memories and dreams clash.He proposes that the different corners of the house act as entrances to our inner selves, calling us to look beyond the limits of our creativity.We can travel beyond the actual walls of the house and take creative and introspective adventures when we daydream.
A house is more than just a geometrically shaped box; it's a space filled with memories, dreams, and emotions. Homes serve as the backdrop of our lives, where we collect and cherish memories in different forms—objects, sounds, smells, and emotions. From childhood toys to family heirlooms, these objects connect us to our past, present, and future. While our personal connection to objects may fade over time, they can gain new significance for others. Just as we give meaning to objects during our lifetime, others may reinterpret them with new stories and emotions.
