This project is incredibly special, and I’m truly honored to have been part of it. The Bucha Forest Classroom, designed by 2L Architects & Engineers together with their partners, has recently opened in Bucha, Ukraine — a town that became known around the world because of the horrors of war. This eco-education space is the first realized project in Ukraine within the European Commission’s New European Bauhaus initiative. Built with sustainability at its core, it is designed to inspire learning, creativity, and a deeper connection with nature.
I was invited by Taktika Studio and Breadcrumbs Studio to create a series of illustrations and icons that would help people of all ages navigate and interact with the building. One of the main goals was not only to create a positive atmosphere for new students, but also to highlight the ecological materials used in the architecture through a visual language that feels simple, positive, and approachable. I hope this space becomes a place where children can rediscover joy, curiosity, and a sense of peace.
